Garden Island Contractors is based in Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i. We build new homes, renovate existing ones, and undertake structural and detailed finish work.
There is satisfaction in a building that comes together well: the frame, the weather protection, the rooms, and the details you use every day. Our job is to understand how those parts depend on one another and coordinate the work accordingly.
We also understand that construction asks a great deal of the owner. You need to understand the scope, follow progress, and make choices about where to invest. We believe the service should receive the same attention as the building.
Our work includes a ground-up custom home in Kapa‘a, the homes we are building for PAL Hawai‘i at Kauhale O Namahana in Kīlauea, whole-home and condo renovations, structural repairs, custom cabinetry, engineered ceiling alterations, and outdoor showers and bathrooms of our own design.

A home’s location and exposure affect its materials and upkeep. We approach those choices as part of the work: what suits the conditions, how it needs to be installed, and how the owner will care for it.

We coordinate the construction and work with architects, engineers, suppliers, and licensed trades where their expertise is needed. Clear responsibilities help carry a good plan through to the finished work.
