Room for the blinds, approved by the engineer.
The owner wanted automatic blinds that could disappear into the ceiling when raised. Making room for them required changes to portions of the metal truss system above the teak finish.
We coordinated the structural changes with a licensed civil engineer, obtained engineering approval, and built the recessed ceiling boxes. The finished installation brings the function of the blinds into the room while keeping them concealed when raised.
The project also included garage storage cabinetry made from melamine-covered plywood with teak trim and edging. The material choices served both the use of the storage and its finished appearance.
