Five foundations, three houses complete, the fourth under way.

Kauhale O Namahana is a community of homes in Kīlauea, developed with PAL Hawai‘i. As of September 2026, our crew has built five foundations and completed three houses there, and the fourth house is in progress.

These films show our crew working through successive stages of construction at Kauhale O Namahana. Concrete, framing, exterior protection, and finishes each require their own skills. They also need to happen in the right relationship to the work around them. The films show that progression on site.
